While the nation gathered to observe Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the Holy Family family had an extra reason to celebrate. We are bursting with pride to announce that our very own Head of Schools, Deana Spencer, was recently recognized on a national stage at the inaugural KnowlejCon in Los Angeles!
KnowlejCon, is a groundbreaking gathering of "revolutionary educators" dedicated to innovation, equity, and academic excellence. Amidst a weekend of deep connection and visionary planning, Deana was surprised with two prestigious honors:

The IMPACT Service Award: Recognizing her 27 years of tireless dedication to educational policy and her commitment to the most vulnerable neighborhoods in Chicago.

The School Trailblazers Award: Representing the Midwest as an agent of change and a champion for academic excellence here at Holy Family Ministries.
Reflecting on the experience, Mrs. Spencer shared:
"My heart is overflowing... I am deeply humbled to be recognized for this work, and even more moved to represent the Midwest as an agent of change. This conference was a powerful space where educators came together to dream and put real work into action."
Mrs. Spencer returned from Los Angeles more inspired than ever to continue "changing the narrative" and creating brighter futures for our Black and Brown scholars. We are so grateful for her leadership and her calling to this vital work.
